Specially 4 You Education is an English tutoring service catering to learners of all levels.
With online classes and face-to-face classes in Berwick and Knox, we help children from Prep to Year 12 and specialise in English as a second language tutoring.
Our History
Specially 4 You have been operating tutoring services in South East Melbourne since 2013. While there are other tutoring services in Victoria, we found there was a lack of dedicated sequential English teaching available. Our founder, Susanne McQuie, is an author herself, and is passionate about teaching English, so it made sense for us to provide a fully tailored English tutoring program.
Since 2013, our program has grown, and we are now offering one-on-one tutoring, as well as group classes in Berwick, Knox and online. We’ve helped countless students of all ages since we started, and we look forward to helping many more.
English Tutoring in South-East Melbourne
Our English tutoring service is designed for children of all ages, from Prep – Year 12. Our qualified team of tutors focus specifically on English disciplines. These range from basic phonetics and grammar all the way through to VCE assignment preparation.
Tutoring is either one-on-one, or in small group classes to ensure all children receive the attention and assistance they need. Servicing South-East Melbourne, we hold classes in Berwick and Knox, and cater to learners of all levels. We also cater to the home-school community.
We now also offer online courses. Distance is no barrier when it comes to quality English tutoring.
English as a Second Language Tutoring
In the early years of Specially4You Education, we noticed there was a lack of tutoring services that provided specialist assistance to children from families where English was a second language. In a school environment, many students struggle with English subjects, but those difficulties can be amplified when it isn’t the language spoken at home.
Susanne McQuie was TESOL trained (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) when she started Specially 4 You Education. This gave us the perfect opportunity to offer a service that not all tutoring services in Victoria can provide. Considering the wealth of diversity throughout Australian schools, we see ourselves as a valuable resource in helping children from non-English speaking backgrounds to get the most out of their education.
Susanne McQuie
Susanne McQuie was born in Germany and moved to Australia in 1992. She has over 35 years experience in the education sector, both in Australia and abroad. With a passion for ESL, Susanne has developed her expertise in helping children from non-English speaking backgrounds. This has led to her becoming TESOL trained (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She is accredited by the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) and is a member of the Australian Tutoring Association.
She also specialises in early childhood learning and has years of experience in this area. Her passion for teaching is evident, and her desire to help children improve their English skills is the driving force behind Specially 4 You Education.
